We are looking for an Informationsbeauftragter / Information Security Officer to join our IT Team atour location in Flensburg (Schleswig-Holstein), Northern Germany.

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing

  • Developing, updating and implementing IT security guidelines and procedures to ensure information security across our group
  • Establishment and further development of an information security management system
  • Planning and carrying out risk analyses and security checks to identify weaknesses and potential risks in relation to information security
  • Advising management and department specialists on all IT security issues
  • Monitoring and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. NIS2, GDPR, PCI DSS)
  • Development, planning and implementation of training and awareness-raising measures for employees to inform them about security guidelines and best practices
  • Liaising with internal and external partners, such as auditors and IT service providers

Requirements

What You Bring

  • You have a degree or completed training / studies in the field of computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification
  • You bring several years of professional experience in the field of IT security, information security and/or risk management
  • Sound knowledge of current IT security standards and technologies
  • You are experienced with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or "BSI IT-Grundschutz"
  • You demonstrate analytical thinking and a structured way of working with a high sense of responsibility
  • You possess intercultural experience, have excellent proficiency in German and English, and navigate confidently through complex topics with different audiences thanks to your strong communication skills

  • What does the application process look like?

    Step 1: Application
    You submit your application/CV to us.

    Step 2: Receipt of application
    We match your qualifications with our requirements profile. We send out an invitation if you could be a fit. Even if it does not fit, we will let you know honestly and as soon as possible.

    Step 3: 1st Interview (via Teams)
    Together we find out whether our mutual ideas match and get to know each other. In the development area, there could be also a short technical test in place, depending on the position you apply for.

    Step 4: 2nd Interview
    Second interview, if possible in person in the office otherwise via Teams. We speak more detailed about position and team, company & benefits.

    Step 5: Selection process
    We consult with all colleagues who were present during the interviews.

    Step 6: Contract offer
    Welcome to our team! Together we define the contract details.

  • How do I apply for an apprenticeship?

    Step 1
    After we have received your application, you will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail from us. We review applications on an ongoing basis. 

    Step 2
    We also conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. The process consists of up to two rounds.

    • First: Digital interview via Teams
    • Second: Personal interview on site. Those who make it to the personal interview on site may receive a small task from us in advance, which should then be prepared until the interview date.

    Step 3
    Already done! Now it will be decided which applicant will enlarge our apprentice team.

  • What documents do I need to apply with?

    At FRS Systems, we're hiring for personality. That's why we don't ask for references, motivational letters or similar. We would be happy to receive an up-to-date curriculum vitae to get a first impression of you. A letter of application is optional, not mandatory.

  • What happens to my data?

    We process your personal data during the decision-making process about a possible employment. In case of rejection, your data will be deleted six months after being added to the applicants pool.
